Building Addition - 2110 Silas Deane Highway, Rocky Hill, CT

This project consisted of the construction of a new addition onto an existing two-story office building. The new addition was 8,000 s.f. that was fit out to match the existing office. Garg provided civil/structural engineering design as well as construction management services for this project.

Building Construction included:

• Concrete pier footings with 4" slabs on deck
• Steel structure, exterior walls were light gauge metal framing
• Exterior envelope entailing brick veneer on all vertical wall surface
• Aluminum windows and an EPDM roof
• Landscaping and parking improvements
• Relocation of four (4) existing AC condensers and relocation of 1000 ampere transformers
• Construction of a new sidewalk and drainage system
• Inspection and testing of all materials
• Review and approve progress payments, change orders, final payment and monitor the construction schedule and quality of work
• Prepared as-built plans
• Total cost of the project was $850,000
