Reconstruction of Huntington Road, Stratford, CT - ConnDOT

This $4.1 million project involves the full depth reconstruction of 2 km of roadway.  The roadway, which is currently less than 7 meters in some areas, will be outfitted with new safety features.  Project elements include two box culverts, a segmental retaining wall, new guiderail, and utility relocation.

Additional project tasks included:

• Adherence to environmental permits in environmentally sensitive areas
• Supervision of contaminated soil removal from areas of environmental concern and deposition into waste stockpile areas
• Monitoring of the installation of a new sewer system, drainage improvements and two    hydrodynamic separators for the managements of storm water runoff
• Utility coordination
• Proactive communication and coordination with residents
• Oversight of stage construction and maintenance and protection of traffic
• Supervision of rock blasting and excavation
• Document control using the Site Manager system
