S-16 and S-17 Bridge Rehabilitation Program- ConnDOT

Garg performed the construction inspection for the rehabilitation of several bridges on Metro-North Railroad’s (MNRR) New Haven Line as part of CTDOT’s S-16 and S-17 Bridge Rehabilitation Program. The construction was performed by MNRR forces.

The major tasks of the project included:

Monitoring and documentation of daily construction activities
Calculation and measurement of quantities for completed construction items.
As-built drawings.
Field meetings with construction foremen and supervisors to discuss construction activities.
Identification and documentation of required work not identified in original plans.
Review of the repair plans to prioritize rehab work Identification and reporting of site safety issues
