GCS is performing construction survey work for this project. All survey, construction staking, and layout work necessary for the accurate installation of fencing along the highway line, staking of non-access line, and other locations. Providing all controls for relocations and installations to be made by public utility companies, railroads, and governmental agencies. All work and measurements necessary for the computation of intermediate and final quantities, such as, but not limited to, cross section measurements for borrow banks, rock excavation, structure excavation, excavation of unsuitable material and final cross section measurements along the completed roadway. Inspection of all construction activities, including the observance and reporting of work performed by public utility companies, railroads, and governmental agencies, within the project limits. On-the-job testing and sampling of materials as specified in the “Construction Manual” and “Information Pamphlet”. Preparation and submittal for approval of all construction orders and all partial, monthly, and final estimates. Revisions of the original construction contract drawings (plans) to show the facility “as-built”. Performance of all necessary field density tests. Survey tasks began with property line and ownership research. Survey located existed rail alignments and profiles. Survey established horizontal and vertical control points throughout the project. |
